March 23
Hi grades 4 and 5, I'm thinking of you all! I hope you are all staying healthy and safe. Don't worry about this school year, you guys will all be passing to the next grade. I have sent you a message to your gmail @ocsbstudent accounts. Login to your student portal and you can work on your persuasive writing assignment. You can also write a "Dear Ms. Wren" and tell me what you have been up to. Mathletics is also a great learning tool. Check out our twitter account @WrensRoom I've added some fun things for you guys to try! Email me if you have any questions or you want to say hi!
Miss you all! :)

March 2020
Wishing everyone a great March break.
With the schools closed for the next three weeks, I have shared a persuasive language assignment into each student's Google Language folder. This is not mandatory, but if students wish to work on it they can. Students can also practice multiplication and division facts.
This term our learning skills focus will be on: Initiative and Collaboration
February 2020
The students have been busy working on their commercials which include an implied and overt message and they will be presenting them this week.
We have been lucky to have Mrs. Potter our technology expert in our classroom, teaching us how to use screencastify and use it to make videos and give feedback to our peers.

January 2020
Wishing all of you a very happy and healthy 2020!!
In January we will be continuing to keep track of the books that we have read for the "Sens Read to Succeed" program.
We will be discussing and writing about our goals for 2020.
Please ensure your kids are bringing their boots, hats and mitts to school, so that they are prepared for the chilly weather.
December 2019
The grades fours and fives are getting very excited for the activities coming up in December! The classes are practicing a Christmas song with their homeroom classes for the Christmas sing along.
Please ensure your kids are bringing their boots, hats and mitts to school, so that they are prepared for the chilly weather.
I have submitted the number of books read for both classes to the "Sens Read to Succeed" program. Both classes surpassed their reading goals for the month of November!
November 2019
Please check out our SJA Holiday Fundraiser on our school twitter @JohnApostleocsb and class @wrensroom. The school will be selling beautiful wreaths and planters for the holidays. Money is due to the office by Wednesday November 6th.
October 2019
Picture Day is October 3rd!
I have registered both grades 4s and 5s for the Ottawa Senators "Read to Succeed" program. The students will bring home a reading log to keep track of the books that they read for the month of October. Our goal is for each student to read 2 books this month. If we reach our goal, our class will be entered into a draw for a pizza party with Sparty.
